The EE2 programme offers non-repayable grants for tourism businesses that want to invest in sustainability.

  • Up to €500,000 per project
  • Grants covering 25% to 65% of eligible costs
  • Non-competitive call (first-come, first-served)
  • Maximum execution time: 6 months
  • Mandatory justification before 30 June 2026

Eligible actions

Type 1: Measures to improve energy savings in facilities and equipment:

  • Efficient equipment and appliances: Replacement of equipment and appliances (dishwashers, refrigerators or others) with more efficient, class A appliances.
  • Self-consumption with photovoltaic solar panels: New solar installations, refurbishments and/or extensions of existing installations for building self-consumption (solar photovoltaic with roof refurbishment and energy storage solutions).

Type 2: Measures for the separation, management, reuse and recycling of waste:

  • Actions for waste separation and separate collection: Equipment for customer and user waste, for service processes and for the maintenance and construction of the establishment.
  • Actions for on-site waste treatment: Systems for automatic monitoring of waste generation, equipment to treat organic waste, to reuse cooking oil and to treat construction waste.

Eligible actions

Type 3: Digitalisation, sensorisation, automation and building management systems:

  • Building management system digitalisation, automation and control: Implementation, commissioning or modernisation of building automation and integrated control technologies to optimise energy and resource consumption or waste generation in the establishment. Actions cover switching on and off heating, domestic hot water, cooling, lighting, irrigation systems, etc.
  • Sensorisation and IoT programmes: Installation of sensors, software use, Internet of Things and other technologies to monitor and optimise energy, waste and other resource consumption (water, etc.). Must allow data exchange for real-time remote diagnosis, management and control of installations, improving efficiency, detecting faults or leaks, etc.
