The new **MOVES III 2025 programme** is now underway in Catalonia. Its aim is to boost sustainable mobility, supporting the transition to cleaner, more efficient transport. Who can apply for the grants?
- Individuals
- Companies
- Public administrations
- Homeowners’ associations
LINE 1: PURCHASE OF ELECTRIC OR HYDROGEN VEHICLES
Direct purchase, rental or leasing of new or demonstration vehicles (less than 12 months old) is subsidised. Main requirements:
- Maximum price (excl. VAT):
- Cars and vans: €45,000
- 8- or 9-seat vehicles: €53,000
- Electric motorcycles: €10,000
- Vehicles must be included in the official IDAE list.
- New registration in Spain or demo vehicles no more than 12 months old.
- Purchases made from 1 January 2025 are eligible.
Amount of aid:
- Between €1,100 and €7,000 depending on the vehicle.
- Up to €9,000 if an old vehicle is scrapped.
- Additional 10 % for:
- People with reduced mobility
- Taxis and private-hire vehicles
- Municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants
Additional conditions:
- Maximum of 1 vehicle per individual and up to 50 vehicles per company or public administration per year.
- Mandatory minimum discount of €1,000 (excl. VAT) applied by the dealer for M1 and N1 vehicles.
LINE 2: INSTALLATION OF CHARGING POINTS
Subsidies cover charging points of all capacities, from domestic chargers (<7 kW) to ultra-fast stations (>100 kW). Aid amounts:
- Up to 70 % of the investment for individuals, self-employed workers, communities and public administrations (up to 80 % in municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants).
- For companies: between 30 % and 60 %, depending on size and location.
Maximum limits:
- €5,000 per installation for individuals
- €800,000 per project
- €2.5 million per beneficiary
TIMELINE
- Applications open: from 8 July 2025
- Eligible actions: from 1 January 2025
- Deadline for justification: 31 December 2026
